Montel Williams Is A Major League Prick

Saturday, December 01, 2007

Yes, the Crabster has a Montel Williams story - oh, and it's a good one too. Seems Montel, the bald, male, low-rated Oprah, was in Savannah lately promoting some new program to give prescriptions to poor people (the Dirty Disher would love that) when some reporters with the Savannah Morning-News began a line of questioning he didn't like, causing him to angrily terminate the interview. Then, later, when the same reporters showed up on non-Montel-related business at the hotel where Montel was staying, Montel thought said reporters were there to follow up on the earlier exchange, and got all up in their faces. Here's the best part though - for whatever reason, Montel decided to focus the majority of his wrath at one particular intern, a high school student named Courtney Scott. Allegedly, Montel pointed his finger at Ms. Scott's face and threatened:

Don't look at me like that. Do you know who I am? I'm a big star, and I can look you up, find where you live and blow you up.

Yes, Montel Williams actually threatened to blow up a high-school-aged female intern. Because he's a big star and that's what big stars can do when people ask them questions they don't like. Except that the girl wasn't the one who asked the question, nor is she even a professional reporter. Ms. Scott was understandably left shaken by the whole thing, and said afterward:

I'm not sure if he meant "blow me up" and ruin my career or really blow us up, but it was threatening.

Montel has since apologized for losing his temper. He should do more than that though - he should send Ms. Scott some nice flowers and maybe some of that prescription medication, to help her with the lingering after-effects of having a big Louis Gossett, Jr.-looking fucker threaten her life. I mean honestly Montel - picking on a high school student? An unpaid intern? What, did the real reporters all look like Judo experts who might kick your ass if you provoked them? Real tough guy you are Montel. Maybe next time you could find a pre-schooler to slap around, or a toddler to scream obscenities at. Douchebag.

Wow. It must have been a hell of a line of questioning. Ruin her career? Hah, Nightline, or some major network ought to hire her ass! The report did not say she was disrespectful or rude, merely that he didn't like the line of questioning. We need more hard hitting reporters not afraid to ask direct questions. Babara Walters is a push over. I say, career defining moment here!

You can take the thug out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the thug.

Umm, mayhaps he was on something? Total fake assholes like that have to have something to front the nice. Although his assholeishness comes through on the air at MANY times. BTW, does anyone but me notice he pushes being a proud black man but only marries white girls? WTF!!!

Just as his behavior was ignorant, so was the "thug" comment.

junation- just what part of the word 'thug' offended your sensibilities?? you pious PC jerk. "Thug" as in 'cruel, ruffian behavior'. How about looking up pious too. 'hypocritical concern, and falsely earnest or sincere.'

If I had commented that Britney Sperars was a ignorant hillbilly I am sure this would have just been fine with you. Your pretentiousness sickens me.

Go 10:54-- I would agree completely about the obnoxious poster you refer to, but I do need to pint out that you did also refer to the 'hood'. Doesn't make a difference in the end though, because there are thugs everywhere, and to pretend they don't exist in the 'hood' is just as pretentious and obnoxious. The reality of course, is that percentage wise they actually exist mostly in the 'hood', but to actually admit that would make me a racist, so I can't say that. Go ahead and make fun of hillbillies all you want, though. Won't bother me-- I have all of my required chromosomes; no more, no less.

Stop all the negative comments or Montel will look you up, find where you live and blow you up ;-)

1:43 thanks for my back. I agree that I blotched the jest of my example however. I should have said it would be like saying: "You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl."

But anyway, point being made. There are plenty of respectable, classy black men in the world. Montel is not one of them. And I hate the Johnny Cochran approach anytime someone speaks the truth when other comments about other celebs of other races are considered "acceptable."

I saw an interview with the victim of Montel's angry huff 'n puff, in
which she used the word "aks" for "ask" about 12 times. Why hasn't anyone straightened out this so-called reporter yet? Where is hermentor? OK, let me help: Hey, lazy mouth, the word is ASK, not AKS! OK, your fifteen minutes are up, will you please go away now? Don't make us aks you twice.
