Television icon David Hasselhoff is losing his battle with the bottle, reports the National Enquirer.
The tab says the Hoff, whose alcoholism became a matter of public amusement after a video was released of him attempting to consume a cheeseburger while shit-faced, has checked himself into Cedars-Sinai for alcohol poisoning not once but twice this month. A source related Hoff's condition after one particularly heavy bender:
David was a total mess. He'd urinated on himself. He was drooling and slurring so badly you couldn't understand a word. He goes into the hospital with alcohol poisoning, comes out and says he's cured, then does it again. [Daughters] Taylor and Hayley fear their nightmare will end with a call from cops saying: "We've found your father dead."
This is sad, really. I mean, guy can't pull himself together worth a damn, and those poor kids have to watch it happening. The Hoff really needs to be locked up in some rehab for his own good it sounds like. And honestly, if he doesn't know this by now - if he hasn't looked into his precious little daughters' faces yet and figured out what a selfish bastard he's being - then he's really nothing more than a big steaming pile of shit. That's what I think, anyway.

Imagine just how *bad* the ex-wife must be... that the LA courts ruled that this 'pickled prick' should retain custody of the kids!!?

He got custody because??????? He's a used up man skank.
Man, this is really sad. I think underneath it all he's probably an alright guy (it seems like his daughter was really concerned about him when she shot the vid...so there must be something okay about him underneath the raging alcoholism).
Lets hope something happens before he does wind up dead. Or if he doesn't die from it...before alcohol destroys any trace of love and concern between him and his kids and he drags on for years and years...a lonely old man, becoming increasingly estranged from what might be the only genuinely good thing in his life...his kids.
If not for his, then for his kids sake we should hope he turns this around. It's sad having to watch someone you care about destroy themselves...or worse, having to stop caring because it's a lost cause.
Alcoholism is a terrible disease, we all know that. But it is a disease that can be stopped in it's tracks. Stop drinking. His ex-wife is a psycho druggie, which I am sure has pushed him over the edge but also got him custody. He should have thanked his lucky stars he got those kids and remembered that before he picked up a bottle. This coming from an alcoholic who put it down for her kids, so I CAN judge.
Millions of Germans worship this guy, which only goes to prove the only thing that matters is what one thinks of oneself. Stating the obvious, I know.
