TMZ has obtained a tape of the mother of Lindsay Lohan's former assistant calling the cops on Lohan. The tape features a woman, whose name is still not known, yammering hysterically to the 911 operator about the white GMC Yukon (Lohan was first thought to have been driving a Denali) that came up behind her vehicle after she had parked. The operator attempts to get information out of the woman, but she merely continues saying "Oh my God," as if she is in imminent danger of being murdered. The woman also speaks of a mysterious man exiting the Yukon and coming toward her. At no point is Lohan's name mentioned. The tape ends after the woman has led the Yukon to a police station. Lohan was apparently found outside the vehicle - so there is still no absolute confirmation that she was actually driving. Also, there is no mention on the tape of the mysterious "other vehicles" that were supposedly following Lohan as she followed the former assistant. The only thing this tape proves conclusively is that the former assistant's mother is an utter melodramatic moron who should be thrown in jail on general principle.

I've read the transcript of the tape but haven't listened to it.
If I was being chased in my car (or thought that I was) I would be pretty terrified and thus probably not able to make a totally coherent statement to the 911 operator. She is able to coherently state her location many times.
I don't see why the fact that she uses the wrong gender is such a big deal. It was night, it was dark. Maybe she couldn't see the driver and didn't yet know who was chasing her. Using the word "he" just means generic person in that instance not that she necessarily saw an actual man. Again if she assumed she was being chased by a man, or was using the "he" just as a generic term maybe she couldn't yet see who was getting out of the car. If she only saw the door starting to open she wouldn't necessarily see the person or his or HER face yet.
So basically she was (probably) terrified and thus hysterical and couldn't see the person chasing her. Nothing really lets Lindsay off the hook.
And since neither of the other two people in Lindsay's car were booked it seems pretty unlikely that one of them was driving. Wouldn't that be divulged at the scene? Wouldn't she tell the cops she wasn't driving if that was the case? And if there was any doubt they would have booked the other two people in her car. Why wait two days and THEN say you weren't the one driving? That doesn't make any sense at all. Even for someone drunk and stupid and likely all drugged up. Her lawyer who made a statement right after never denied she was driving. Hardly makes sense.
(sorry for length)
I agree with Crabbie. The mother is a melodramatic moron. I WAS chased by two males in a vehicle when I was about 19 years old. The pursuit lasted for several miles until I finally made it to a police station. Yes, I was terrified, but I certainly tried to help the dispatcher with my location and direction of travel, etc.
