Jennifer Lopez at Univision's Premio lo Nuestro Awards. So she's embracing her ethnic roots again. Please - who is J-Lo kidding? She's white. And, if the reception she got at the Berlinale was any indication, her new movie Bordertown sucks. Damn Krauts booed the living hell out of it. Then again, these are Germans we're talking about. They worship Hasselhoff over there, so, maybe being hated by them isn't such a bad thing.

no, they don't love Hasselhoff.
Some loved him. 50+ housewives. And children who watched knight rider. But some love him in 'the states' too. And the Hasselhoff 'mania' was over more than 15 years ago. Today nobody is even the slightest interested in H. anymore.
About the booing - this is totally blown out of proportion.
In Germany, booing is very common. If you don't like a film, you boo it. It is part of the movie going experience. You don't demand your money back, you are booing it. Almost every film gets some boos. The important point, how many people were booing it? A handfull? That is the usual amount. 10% 20? Half of the audience? That would be a lot.
Crabby you´re kinda late on this one! I usually really like your blog, because you seem to have a brain unlike other bloggers - cough*Perez*cough.
Maybe that´s why I´m disappointed with this one: as a German it´s not funny being called a Kraut or a Nazi all the time, especially not because of something as normal as booing a movie when you don´t like it.
There´s a national outcry if someone in the States uses the f-word (see T.R.Knight) but it´s perfectly okay to call German people Krauts or Nazis. That´s just as offensive and it hurts.
Sermons over. Thanks for listening.
I second comment no 1.
Get an update on the World Outside the United States, man.
Germans neither like Hasselhoff anymore nor Hitler.
Ignorant American!
I'm German and it's O.K if you make fun of Germans. I do it all the time. Lighten up people. This is about laughing, humor,levity..ya know? My father is very German. His grandfather wan an immigrant, and he makes fun of Germans all the time. Don't take yourself so seriously...Oo yeah, Germans are famous for that.
Here, I don't actually consider it is likely to have effect.
